my first piece by BS, hopefully more to come, i really dig this one, awesome 70s style son of satan, and again, at a perfect price, the lesley thanks is in pencil, so can be removed easy enuff, which i might do

Sweet pickup! I'd leave the dedication as is though. Provides provenance and you may want to sell it back to Lesley some day ;)

It's too bad Lesley got Rubinstein to ink it, as we don't even see a hint of Sienkiewicz's stylization from that era, but it'sstill a fun piece of Bill Sienkiewicz history. Oh, and please don't erase anything. The dedication is part and parcel of the overall story, letting us know there was once a comics fan named Lesley who had the foresight to ask the not yet but soon to be master artist for a drawing of Daimon Hellstrom at a convention. It's a part of the history and provenance of the piece!

also, isnt it just a sweet piece, classic 70s bronze style, by 2 of the greats working on it

Lesley should stay.  People are going to ask why there's a clean spot scrubbed in your art.

I am loath to change original art in any (repairing mold damage might be an exception)
