I really enjoy perusing the "Unknown Artist?" section on Anthony's Comic Art. It's a combination of weird published stuff, a lot of random crap, and some real gems by a lot of those people you see in artists alley section of a convention. This piece in particular caught my eye a while ago because it reminded me of the style of art from Heavy Metal Magazine around the early to mid 80s.

But it's such a nothing piece that I was waiting for the right combination of Anthony to run a claim sale, enough pieces of art I wanted from him, and for me to have money. That last part kept tripping me up for about six months because I kept buying expensive things at auctions.

Which leads me up to OAX 2024 where I'm looking at Anthony's portfolios for the third time while I'm waiting for the Harvey Tolibao commission to get done. Sharon was away from the booth and Anthony started talking to me. He twisted my arm to buy the Adam Hughes Hericane pin-up (not really, he actually sold it to me at a great price) and was trying to get me to buy more. I told him that I have an entire list of cheaper pieces that I wanted to buy from him that he didn't bring. So he says to email it to the art room and he'll do a package deal. I wasn't going to buy the 40+ things I'm looking at, but it did turn out to be another five pieces of mostly cheaper things.

That's it, you right, it totally remonds me of Jones's art. I love her stuff.

This is a nice icing on the cake piece to reward yourself with! Definitely could be one of the American illustration contributors to the more mature Sci-Fi titles popular overseas. Possibilites can run the gamut.
