DescriptionAnna Haifisch illustration for the German magazine Süddeutsche Zeitung, featuring her character "the Artist."Purchased this "under the table" from Anna at a reading and book signing for her and Simon Hanselmann. She read a story from her book Schappi about an art collector, which is extremely funny, an art collector who is so rich and famous that a town of artists, who hope for their art to be chosen by him, has sprung up around the collector's mansion. During the Q & A she expressed how she like mass produced art such as books and print and finds collecting art odd. So when I went up to her I asked "I know your feeling about collectors and originals but do you sell yours?" She told me yes and did I want to see some, then went over to her backpack and handed me a portfolio and told me to not let the store see it. It was full of sketches and a few illustrations so I picked up this piece. Ha. Pencil and ink on cold pressed paper. 8 1/2" x 11" Social/Sharing |
