DescriptionI have been wanting a piece from Linsner for a few years now, but for whatever reason, things never seemed to line up. Either the pieces I really wanted at the time weren't available, or I had just made a big purchase and when they were made available, I didn't have the funds. I thought I'd finally be able to scratch the itch for a Linsner piece when he was added as a guest to the Calgary Comic & Entertainment Expo earlier this year. Unfortunately, he had to cancel at the last minute for personal reasons. I started thinking maybe I'd never find/pick up the right Linsner piece. After seeing the Jeanette (from Secret Six) piece that Linsner posted on CAF, I finally decided just to e-mail him and see if he'd be available for a commission. To my surprise, I caught him at a really good time, and he was available. So, I immediately set up a Valkyrie commission and this is the result. I absolutely LOVE how it turned out. I decided to get Linsner to depict her in her classic outfit, as opposed to her new one, and I think he hit the ball out of the park on it. Love her hair, her face, the breast plates, and the way the sword seems to be jumping out at the viewer. Heck, I love everything about it! Haven't received the piece in the mail yet, but couldn't wait to share. :)Social/Sharing |

One of the best illustrations I have ever seen of Valkyrie, who all of a sudden is getting promoted to a-list status. Bravo!

Absolutely stunning! I can only imagine when you get it the colors will be much more vibrant. A piece to be proud of to be sure!
