Montana Hitch, was made for the cover of the novel "Montana Hitch" from the writer Richard S. Wheeler, published by Tor Books editorial (USA). Bastei acquired the novel with the cover by Royo.

It is a very unique piece in Luis Royo�s trajectory as he almost never uses pigment that way, leaving the prominence of the brushtrokes adding plasticity to the piece.

Arid and desolate landscape feel with the sun and wind's sweeping energy framing this pair in meticulously chosen costuming. Civilization struggles to take hold as the wild frontier sees that it doesn't.
