DescriptionNeal Adams was a giant. One of the most influential artists in comics history and arguably the best Batman artist ever. Neal's inking on this one is really fluid here and his color work complements it well. Reminded a bit of Garcia Lopez untold tales of batman coverSocial/Sharing |

I was just leaving a comment on a Perez cover when I saw your post. Ironic that I'm leaving back to back comments on two legends we lost last year. This is a great piece. The coloring is absolutely perfect. Just your basic black, blue, and grey. The image, and the character, really don't need anything else. Wow! Congrats buddy!

Thanks Eric! picked this one up a week or so before we lost Neal. It's hard to believe we live in a world without Neal Adams or George Perez. This one is almost a recreation of the cover to batman odyssey 2 with a different background. I actually like it better because of the fluid inking. Hope all is well! We need to catch up soon

Well designed by one of the greats using the foreshortening style he's known for. The paints are awesome as Adams is not drawing to make this with realism as much as with symbolism.

Agreed. I was surprised to find an unpublished color piece that made such a strong statement. It feels like a poster to me

Thanks' ! Ill probably never own a nice adams batman cover but thought this one came together compositionally so it almost feels like a poster and the inking on thus was exceptionally fluid for an Adam's commission.

Hard to top as an Adams example! It's really got it all, and he really DID it all, as you note when you credit him in all 4 areas! Congrats!
