DescriptionI have been chasing commissions from Arthur for years now and always found it to be so hard to be among the lucky few to make it to his table in time to make the short list at shows. But in recent years I see him at so many local shows since I live near him that he knows who I am now and I can get these arranged for pick up at the local shows. Today was one such show, at the East Bay Comic Con. I was there to pick up 2 commissions for myself and a friend and ended up buying another piece that Arthur had (Queen Goblin from Spider-man) as well. So I ended up getting 2 killer commissions and even got Arthur to do a nice Wolverine sketch card for me too, while I watched.Years ago (2015) I finally got on Arthur's list at a con and got my Zealot sketch from him and I was hooked! Then it was years and years of almost getting one, like being #3 on his list at a show and he only gets 2 done. But I have managed to get the ones I wanted the most with a Savage Land Rogue last year and now finally a Black Cat this year. Art is just killing these commissions these days, so even though they shot way up in cost over the past year, it is ALWAYS worth it to me. This piece came out so incredibly nice! Here's hoping she becomes a cover! :) Social/Sharing |

That that spray work in the background is so great when he could have just went flat, but he does it to give an extra texture that's different from the leather costume elements.

We chatted online about this commission a bit already, but I have to reiterate since this is so great how much I love the angle of the character in this commission, the fact that she is casually holding up jewelry we all know how she obtained, and the subtle smile she wears that says, "Oops, I did it again..."
Fantastic commission, sir! I wish I was able to stick around longer at the con to see it in person.
