Description

From Classics Illustrated #4 out February 1990. Saw it when it first came out, and it's been a huge influence on me.

This is a photo of the original art, not a scan, and it's been adjusted because the light blew out some areas. Also shown with overlay and as published. I will try to get a good scan soon.

Always looking to buy art from this book.

The layout is great! It's the cage that traps the whale and the fates of the players.

What a great page. Love the warm and cool colors. And the design of the big whale across panels vs the staccato heads below. Nice!

So, so, good. Love the three portrait shots at the bottom. And the image of the whale is nothing short of terrifying.
