Description

From issue 6 of 6 in the series written by Louise Simonson. Signed by John Buscema.

"Galactus preparing to end all life on the Shi'ar homeworld, the Surfer & his allies try to devise a plan to bring him down. With the heroes only able to score minor victories against a weakened Galactus, he prepares to suck up their life force to feed his hunger. The Surfer subverts Galactus' world ship to his will & fires on his master, bringing Galactus down. As he's dying, Galactus tells Surfer that he picked him as a herald because he knew that the Surfer would one day have the strength to end his life. He warns of a greater danger lurking in the cosmos waiting to strike. Galactus dies."

Pencilled so Sienkiewicz can have the freedom to dominate the look as usual. However, Sienkiewicz does in kind give the Buscema features of long flowing lines a lot of play with the statuesque beauty of Sue, the stretchiness of Reed, and the Thing hanging his arms and legs showing their weight.
