EC for me, see?

EC's been conspicuous by its absence here, and unrepresented in my collection. Here's fixing that!

I've been obsessed by EC since discovering the classic work of Bill 'n Al 'n the gang in fanzine write-ups and reprints when I was 14 or 15. I remember what a thrill it was to receive a Near Mint copy of Weird Science #9 by snail mail, with that mind-blowing Wally Wood cover. Waaaaaayyyyyyy back in 1971! :-)

I'm STILL actively collecting the Russ Cochran EC Library sets, after all these years. I'm happy to say I'm closing in on completing the collection. EC Archives reprints interest me little, since it's the beauty of that world-class black and white art I'm after. (I feel the same way about the original Nostalgia Press volumes of Flash Gordon, by Alex Raymond.)

Once upon a time, I owned the beautiful Graphitti statue this lovely concept art inspired, but foolishly sold it, as I've foolishly sold so many things in my life.

You might say, then, that acquiring this piece is my compensation. Ain't the details here wonderful, though?

Wow! That is SO cool. Almost impossible not to think of dinosaurs when you hear the name Stout. But his style really works for the character here. Of course I'm a sucker for anything with skulls on it. And you're absolutely right, the details are incredible. Congrats buddy!
