DescriptionJoe was one of my favorite artists during the 1990s and One of my favorite people in general. It was always a pleasure to speak with him at conventions see what he was up to. Weapon Zero is my favorite series that he worked on, and while I am still after finding the #1 cover to that series - I was super stoked to be able to add this piece to my collection.As always - really appreciate you taking a look at my gallery. This Marvel/Top Cow crossover was fun at it allowed the then-newer Top Cow artists to give us their interpretations of Marvel characters like the Silver Surfer. Very cool cover!

I remember these cross overs. The Top Cow guys really outdid themselves. And I enjoyed Joe's work as well.

These crossovers could have only happened in a time of desperation in the industry and Heroes Reborn happened to open the door for Top Cow crossovers. Characters like Silver Surfer and Mephisto would defintiely fit in with what Top Cow was focused on in the fantasy realm. It gave a high end presentation of Silver Surfer at a time when Surfer's own title was winding down. No doubt that Joe Benitez was more than capable for this crossover.

I picture Duke saying "FINALLY" like when Peter Quill gets called Starlord when he acquired this piece.

This was such an exciting watching these 2 universes cross over. This is such an awesome cover and memento from that era!

It's a first issue cover with Silver Surfer, so that's cool enough by itself. Everything else is a bonus. I love the background behind the Surfer!

I too loved Benitez art on Darkness or Weapon Zero. Less into it these days but this is a great find for sure as that x-over was huge at the time.

I know this may sound hackneyed, but this is such a great cover! Tremendous inking, and the way Surfer stands out in the middle is fantastic. Killer piece, Dan.
