DescriptionThere is an incredible use of different techniques (ink, wash and scratched zipatone) by the quirky Brooklyn-based modern maestro. It seems like he was having a lot of fun with this page. The armor design, the shadows, and the whimsical lettering are amazing. The quarter splash with the Eye peering down the dark hallway is the knockout left hook to the jaw. Some people don't understand, or they pretend not to understand. Strong opinions without facts or first-hand knowledge are unfortunately everywhere on the internet. It's their loss. Tradd or Trimpe? Your call bro... Thank you Felix and Tradd! Social/Sharing |

Let the battle begin! Really like the third panel and the choice to have Strange looking to the left in the bottom right panel.

Dig this page, top and bottom right panels look like Tradd is channeling Crimson Tower MacLean.

Great choice - your description says it all. So many techniques at play, and so many pieces of the story present here. Bravo.

Spectacular page! So much variety in texture and line, as you say, yet the page as a whole is so well balanced for my taste, and each panel is sublime. So much better in B&W for me. Moore's vision and technique are amazing

Moore's art confounds and defies convention to confuse the gatekeepers. After decades of collecting experience, they should rely on the old adage that it's only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. Since it's a sell out, it's worth what was paid.

Not a bad page in that book so congrats.
(But to be fair, I think if you include Trimpe on the right side of a comparison, any guy on the left would win ;)

There's like a swirly cinematic feel to this one and I dig it. Nice storytelling top to bottom, with an ever sense of movement, and you're not kidding about all the techniques on display! Congrats!

I love that Tradd can capture the exact moment the guard can smell what the Rock is cookin'. Mmmm...great pick up!

Superb page, Yo! Compelling design and just downright -fun- visual style; it's a blast watching Tradd not so much reinvent, but rediscover the wheel... a four-dimensional wheel that kind of spins in on itself as it also revolves around. The bottom left panel is just so, SO fantastic, even without the Eye peering over... but with it...? Your description is perfect: knockout punch to the jaw. I also love the fact that Tradd is adding some central sound effects directly to the page; probably easier that than to trust another hand (regardless of how skilled) to put them in the right places, across the board. Sincere congrats, Yo! Brilliant score!

Tradd or Trimpe? Why not both? I think this page from Tradd's Doctor Strange: Fall Sunrise is fabulous! I love those elaborate wheeled cages in the opening panel. And I agree that the bottom left panel is killer. The whole book is filled with great pages, but you picked up a really stunning one. Me, I got skunked the drop, but I'm happy for everybody who scored. My sincerest congrats.

Wonderful character designs. Everyone wants an SSB page for obvious reasons but I still feel that this comic has the more interesting story/storytelling.
