DescriptionNostalgia all wrapped up in a beautiful little card!I was and currently am in love with all things X-Men, in the 1990’s they were hot from promos at Pizza Hut to some of the best comics and cartoons coming out each week. One of the other items that hooked me were the trading cards. Fleer Ultra X-Men and Marvel Masterpieces were top of the line card series. I hunted them all down in my youth. Me and my brother would each week get 1 or 2 comics and/or 1 or two packs of cards. The excitement we had for opening a fresh set of sharp cornered bright and especially shiny cards, seeing all our favorite characters in groups, action poses, vs mode and best was seeing them at play poolside or doing something truly uncanny. There were so many to collect and we definitely got a lot of repeats but each week or so, we had the opportunity to come even closer to completing these series of cards. I was in love with the VS cards, maybe one day I will see the Psylocke vs Revanche on here. This particular battle between LONGSHOT and MOJO was beautifully done, colorful, dynamically posed and intense. One thing I always look for first when I see Longshot is his hands to see if he was created properly. Dan Lawlis dis such an amazing job on this series of card art and vs scenes. It’s really fun to see Dan on this site recently selling some of his card art, quote from Dan Lawlis regarding his card art work: “Some of the coolest things that I did for Marvel was a series of painted trading cards featuring the heavy hitters like this Hulk vs Wolverine! I also did a Wolverine vs Spiderman, Wolverine vs Cable, Wolverine vs Magneto, Longshot vs Mojo, and Polaris. I also created a few inked cards for them.” Social/Sharing |

Mojo was a fat slug thing, but he was no joke and made an interesting villain. I love seeing the OA for all these cards. Nice!

So much detail on these teeny tiny cards. Always a Mojo fan. Congrats!

I like how well matched the poses and facial expressions are to each other! The color work is so bold and excites by reminding us of those X-Men uniform colors.

Very nice addition to your collection. Trading cards were so huge there for a while. Great to own a piece of pop culture history and X-Men nonetheless. Congrats.

That's such a cool shot. So much action packed into such a small space. What size is this?

Lots of great color work packed into that space! I like the leather sheen on LS, and that feathery hair :) Congrats!
