Epilogue: Following an "inappropriate touching" scandal involving the tuba player, Mr. Holland was immediately fired by the school board. Stripped of his pension, he was forced to take another job-- this time as musical director for Widney High School. Here he is pictured with his favorite pupil, Ted Lanting.

Careful observers will note that Richard's glasses are hanging down around his neck, and therefore, effectively blind, I surmise that he has no clear knowledge of the Eminence he is being permitted to stand next to and allowed to be photographed in the proximity of intimate space with such as he.
