DescriptionMy only purchase at WonderCon! I love Finch’s work, especially his run on The Dark Knight series. I was searching for two specific covers featuring Scarecrow, and this was one of them. I was surprised to find it available! Finch’s pencil work, combined with Friend’s inks, is incredible—the detail is insane, and Batman’s expression of despair perfectly sets the tone. The published cover depicts Scarecrow without his hat, so it may have been removed digitally. Personally, I prefer him with the hat.Social/Sharing |

A classic from his New 52 run! This might have been Finch's most high profile series launch at the time!

You know, most of us feel The Joker is Batman's greatest rogue, but when you actually take time to consider the fact that he's really nothing more than a skinny, pasty-faced, stringbean wimp with no powers, it doesn't make a whole lot of sense. On the other hand, when you consider that Batman's world mostly takes place at night, in the deep, dark shadows of a crime ridden city, The Scarecrow, with his halucinatory drugs, is really the rogue that writers SHOULD HAVE been focusing on all along. This is an excellent example of the terror that can be extracted from the Batman mythology when using The Scarecrow. Congrats on the acquisition, Alex!

Captures perfectly Scarecrow's nightmare gassing of Batman's mind! Excellent cover!
