Description

Johnny Bruck cover painting for Perry Rhodan #231 published in Germany on February 4, 1966. As you can see from the additional images, the artist borrowed freely from the Ed Valigursky cover painting for Solar Lottery by Philip K. Dick, which was published by Ace Books in 1955.

In this cover, incorporating the alien and the missle launches sets the conflict into something bigger than the original's intent of a man vs man situation. Probably inspired Star Trek too with the Gorn episode.
