Grendel AND Sale? What is not to love?

Many thanks (as always) to Marcus for helping me better identify and describe this page. What we've got here is Stacy Palumbo, adopted daughter of the original Grendel Hunter Rose, passing along the Grendel legacy to her daughter, Christine Spar.

For some reason, I remembered this story taking place later in Spar's life but it pre-dates her adventures in Grendel 1.

I think Sale's Grendel issues in the mid-80s were my first exposure to his art. This page is from a mini, Devil Child, written by Diana Schutz and drawn by Tim in the late 90s.

That is Christine Spar with her mom Hunter Rose. This page is from Grendel: Devil Child #2 by Tim Sale. It is most likely the climatic page of the entire storyline of the 2 issue series as it deals with leaving the Grendel legacy from mother to daughter.
