Description

Intro: Apocalypse has been destroyed; the end of the world has been averted. Or has it? Sinister has just unleashed a massive force unseen, unrivaled and unbeatable.

Magneto, the master of magnetism using his powers to safely carry him back to WASHINGTON D.C. new home of THE XAVIER INSTITUTE.

At the institute, we see how much life has changed as upon entering Magneto disrobes to a special greeting call: DADDY!
Magento carrying his helm in hand, embraces his child: And how's my big boy doing today, Charles?

The boy, Charles, given the name of an important and familiar X-Men namesake. He is definitely excited, and has so much to say to his father: I saw you on T.V., Daddy!
And Uncle Remy and Aunt 'Roro and Uncle Kurt! And they fought with those BAD GUYS!
Why didn't you fight too, Dad?

The Answer, comes from behind the scenes said by someone else special. Mother says: Your father's an IMPORTANT MAN now, Charles. He's needed elsewhere...

WOW isn't she a sight for sore eyes, Magneto's doting, happy homemaker is none other than the X-Men's Rogue. She continues: ... Plus, I'd say he's a getting a little too OLD for the battlefield. He might not be able to keep up anymore.

Back together as a happy family, mother and father greet each other with you Charles happily looking on. Magneto pokes back at his love: Never heard you complain about me keeping up BEFORE, Rogue.

Rogue pokes back: And I hope I never will...
and then moves in for a kiss from her beloved. [I kind of with there was a complaint or get a room or just a yuck from little Charles here.]

Now back to business, Magento and Rogue discuss the mission and plans. Magneto checks: The others returned without incident?
Rogue, his true second-in-command reports: No worries. Not a scratch.
We were just about to sit down for dinner, actually. Come and Join us.

This page is reminiscent of my favorite X-Men storytelling, showing the group as just one big family. Reminds me somewhat of Joe Madureira's Uncanny X-Men #337 with the whole sit down meal together. Currently, signed along the bottom left edge by Chris Bachalo, though barely seen in the scan. This is my second page of Magneto kissing Rogue, gotta love both of them!
