This very striking image caught my eye during a Next Comic Art sales show on the CAF+ youtube channel.

Like Robert Downey Jr. in Iron Man, I had to have it. Executed on red paper, the charged atmosphere perfectly captures a very particular moment in the Man of Steel's journey in Alex Ross and Mark Waid's opus, Kingdom Come.

Welcome to the Summer of Superman. I swear, if they harm even one hair on Krypto...

Not surprised this caught your eye. I love red and black together and I've never seen an instance when the combination wasn't compelling (your avatar is another example).

Paid for every art, that's Mendoza sold
I played my Clark and I didn't fold

I'd seen through the Ross but I still give request
God made this gold different from the Kents
Jiggy broke that mold so I know I'm Next (this is my world)
