Toth would approve! Love the 1st panel in particular!!
Wow, Kesel bringing some superb inks. There is some wonderful detail and lighting within the panels as well. Already had me at the clocks though.
Happy Superman Day!
I love how annoying Clark is, haha. Am I a nerd because I like news reporter and attorney alter ego storylines?
Great use of lighting and the flashlights/ spot lighting. A great use of the clock to separate the action. Makes me think back to another Superman panel which is so close to this wherein the henchmen pass by a garden light as they cut through a fence. Has similar moody lighting.
Nice piece ML.
Love the clocks! and the Kesel inking is spectacular, what a great Rude page. Happy Superman Day!
Nice Superman page to represent his special day today. Cheers!
Wonderful figure work and beautiful inks!
A World's Finest page in one of the world's finest collections....whoa!
There's not enough Steve Rude art in the world, so congrats on getting such a cool example!
Rude awakening youngling. I am your Father!
Excellent!
No Batman on this page so I was quick to make a judgment and only give you 1/2 credit for the World's Finest. However, Rude's Superman is sublime and makes this an awesome page just as it is. Love this one.
That's a beautiful page, congrats!
I can tell you how I feel about you knight and day
How I feel about you
I can tell you how I feel about you knight and day
How I feel about you
I'll love Rude more in the rain or shine
And making love inking grain is fine
A love so good in the Karl ink line
World is Fine
I can tell you how I feel about you knight and day
How I feel about Rude
I can tell you how I feel about you knight and day
How I feel about Rude
Believe me when I say that I do care, I can tell Rude
I'd like to run my power Rude your stare, I can tell you
Baby, if you sketch I could not dare, I can tell you
Please art share
Has there ever been a Rude page that ISN'T brilliant? Outstanding, and yes, Kesel is one of the most underrappreciated inkers ever, having worked over the biggest legends like Byrne, Pérez, Rude, etc, even from the start of his career!
Moody, which I dig, and way to set up the scene with that first panel. Also Rude and Kesel got a throwback quality to the art, but still with a modern spin. Very nice indeed, M, congrats@!
Yes, love those clocks - and the opening angle. Rude gives Superman such a classic look, focusing on the heroic pose rather than a muscular frame. Great sequence.
Another brilliant, beautiful Rude, ML! The inks are sublime, the storytelling superb, and I laughed out loud when I saw panels 3&4 stacked on each other there, with the juxtaposition of Clark/Superman (and the fantastic body language between them), cops & tied crooks... fantastic! I also love the "shorthand" narrative technique of the spinning clock hands telling the story (as it were) and getting us to the situation in panel 4: we as readers know -exactly- what happened in that intervening time, and -exactly- how Superman cleaned everything up (but that's just not the important part of story the creators are here to tell...). Brilliant engaged and engaging work by Steve (whose Superman is, yes, one of the all-time Greats); pinnacle graphic storytelling by the whole team. Another special and spectacular add, Mikail - huge congrats!
Great Rude piece, Kesel inks make this shine.
Never read this stoy but the art is impressive!
great looking page ml, the inks on this page are so good, congrats getting this one buddy
