I purchased this cover from Jason Schachter's site (Essential Sequential) in my first year of collecting. I could say I was quite lucky, but I don't think Miles and Gwen were as popular then as they are now. This would have stayed in my 'vault' for a while but after seeing the Across the Spider-Verse movie (and loving it!), I felt compelled to share the artwork. Call me an opportunist and I'll agree with you!
This cover is a variant to an issue in the Spider-Gwen and Miles 'Sitting in a tree' storyline where both heroes get involved romantically to some degree. I usually like to actually purchase a physical copy of the corresponding comic for any art I own. This one however has proved to be very difficult to get hold of.

The movie is a goregeous work of art and the scene where they are sitting together upside down, which might have been inspired by this cover, is one of the highlights for me. They are not Peter Parkers, so their journey as Spider-heroes is unique, they see the world differently as only they can, just like this has them sitting 90 dregrees off the side of the building.

It's a shame Johnson doesn't draw interiors any more but there's a reason he's one of of fhe best cover designers in the business. He really brings his best to every cover, with this a case in point. Congrats!
