DescriptionIn issue 41, Moonstar travels back home with Brightwind to Colorado, following the other New Mutants temporarily transferring to the Massachusetts Academy (their encounter with the Beyonder wrecked them all, but Dani bounced back a bit quicker). While home, she runs into a childhood friend - but he's a friend no more! In her past youth, she accidentally used her powers on him. And she'll use her new Valkyrie powers for him before this issue's done. Dani fights death, but to no avail.Butch did some poignant issues in his run mid in the series, so I was stoked when he finally opened a commission list. 11x17. Social/Sharing |

Tight illustrative details when needed and graphic design in other aspects. All blended seamlessly to bring the scene dramatic weight.

Unbelievably beautiful! I really don't have the words to properly convey how much I love this piece. I've been saying it for so many years, but Butch is one of those veteran artists who has been around for multiple decades yet continues to produce better stuff than he ever has before!

Man, color me green with envy with this one! Love the whispy inks, and the overall rendering is oh so good. Literally one of the best Guice pieces I've seen, and that's saying something. Congrats!

A great piece! I wish Butch Guice himself had found a way to beat Death.
