DescriptionVideo of Jim Lee drawing this... https://youtu.be/-pdkdoEmGgAJust recently celebrated my 10 year wedding anniversary with my wife... How we met was pretty unusual. I met my wife on this contraption called MySpace. She was looking for a fine strapping young man to go out with but somehow she wound up on my page. I was a shy introvert who liked videogames and never liked to go out so that's when she hatched the ultimate plan. "I'm going to challenge him to a game of Street Fighter." Our first date was a night out at Dave and Busters. Man, was I nervous... not because of the date but... I had a reputation on the line with my favorite game and I wasn't about to lose to this trash talking girl from MySpace. She proceeded to pick Chun-Li and if I recall correctly I thrashed her with two perfect KOs from Ryu. That's when I realized... she never thought she could beat me... she just wanted to go out with your boy!! Man, am I glad she did. What she lacked in videogame skills she more than made up for in being an amazing person. She pushes and challenges me to break out of my shell and become a better man. She has my back through thick and thin. She's my Chun-Li!! So when Jim Lee happens to draw a picture of Chun-Li for the first time just a few days before our anniversary... (WHAT!!)... I stop at nothing to purchase it. She might not buy my story about the sentimental value in the gift to us but she allowed me to make the purchase anyway. How cool is that? I love this lady... oh and my wife is pretty awesome too! This image was published in Jim Lee's Just Draw sketchbook. Social/Sharing |

Oh, missed this one! Love the story, man. How cool that your getting together has SFII involved?! Great piece, dude. And I'm SURE your wife never gives you the expression Chun Li's giving here ;) Congrats on getting both ladies!
