Description

I fell in love with Belen's work ever since her Silk variant cover to Amazing Spider-Man #50 (Nick Spencer run). A cover I narrowly missed out on. Ever since then I have kept an eye on whatever Belen produced in the chance I would be able to capture another gem. Unfortunately it seemed that Belen chose to create most of her cover digitally so I leapt on the chance to get this commission by Belen done for me. In doing so I broke one of my rules in purchasing OA:

1) Only buy what you read
Rasputin IV was gaining more and more coverage from fans ans collectors. I love her style and concept yet admittedly I have yet to read a comic she features in! But I was really interested to see Belen's interpretation of her.

In addition, Belen completed this piece in a couple of weeks, a lot faster than I was expecting! As well as her skills with the pen, I have to admire her professionalism.

I'm a fellow admirer of Belen's work- still hoping for that exact right piece. I waffled on that list, but what a great commission result. Congrats on a winning piece!

Thanks dude! I too was waiting for that exact right piece, but settled for this commission. Your gallery is A+++ It seems we have similar tastes, looking forward to seeing what you come up with next!

(By the way, it's Powers of X #1 if you're looking for the comic that she made her first appearance in. Worth reading House of X at the same time though. Enjoy! Awesome series.)

Thanks! I'm jealous that you'll be reading House of X and Powers of X for the first time! We all get a bit jaded by the hype for each of these events but this one really delivered. Enjoy! (PS I have another OA cover from House of X featuring Rasputin IV that I'll be posting shortly...)

Belen has been creating amazing work, and I was disappointed to miss out on her most recent commission list. Rasputin IV is a great subject (one of the most memorable characters from Powers of X). Congrats on a great commission!

The result is insane. That is an awesome commission. Was this the cover quality level? I will post a halfbody commission soon.

Thank you! Bizarrely, I was in two mind when I recieved this...maybe it wasn't exactly what I was expecting compared to Belen's other work, but it's starting to grow on me now!
