Description

Miller story telling again. But this Family Values transition page (Mc carthy leaves peggy before to be caught by Magliozzi hancmen)is such a good sample.
Miho breaks, time for Miller to conclude previous sequence, then action starts again.
IMO the main character are the walls. Their bricks line give cinetic strenghth to Miho breaking, then they seem ready to fall to bury Peggy and Mc Carthy disenchanted romance. At last they anounce danger (with a carefirelight lighning jubilent graphism impact). Breakdown brings dynamism (1st and 4th horizontal panels and lines), or drama(2nd and 3rd vertical ones).
Thumbnails take us down to the very end of the page, slowdown reading and rise tension to a real cliffhanger.
My first Miller page, so glad about it! just hope it won't be the last...

Brick walls are magic in this world to create the claustrophobic atmosphere as characters are either backed into them or being squeezed with both sides closing in. The silhouettes and negative space is all par for the course for Miller's dark noir to take hold.
