Description

The Ambassadors was the first Mark Millar book I've picked up in a while due to it's Korean female protagonist and star studded lineup of artists that included, Frank Quitely, Travis Charest, Olivier Coipel, and Matteo Scalera. When pages became available from Scalera's issue, the conclusion, I had to jump on.

I guess this page is pretty spoiler-y but in the battle between The Ambassadors and the super-team of Choon-He's ex, Jin-Sung, Choon-He finally gets revenge. An amazing splash of her devastating punch followed by the aftermath and some great images of Choon-He and her Korean flag outfit with the other team members. Scalera's wash is outstanding. His artistic mastery of multiple mediums is really something.

This isn't actually a 2-pg spread in the book but it's a nice sequence that looks good as a side by side image. Check out the extra images for individual scans.

Perfect form in the utter destruction knockout blow! It punctuates the impact of the climax with all the insides sent flying! The falling action on the next page then gives finality to reflect on what just happened by pulling the camera to the far away big picture shot.

Excited to read that series, just based on the artistic line-up (even though I hope it's Millar in subtle mode rather than his gratuitous shock value one). Great set of pages.
