I was lucky enough to pick up this piece during the Spidey themed Next Comic Art/CAF claim show back in October 2023. John did a fantastic job capturing that iconic moment/kiss between Pete and MJ from Sam Raimi’s first Spider-man film in his art style. I love the camera angle he chose and how he drew the pouring rain, and Pete and MJ are just perfect. Great stuff.

Love it! You know it's from the flick but John brings his own awesome flair to the scene. He's really good at that, and kinda reminds me of Chris Samnee and Tom Reilly that way and stylistically - GOOD company. I've become a big fan. Congrats!

That's a winner! It's the camera angle as you said and it's that moment of anticipation before the first kiss that's so sweet which John captures so well!

You're right about capturing the moment of anticipation. Looking over the piece again, I can even see a hint of nervousness from Pete. Hehe. Great job by John.

Thanks for the kind comments, and thank you again Peejsy for picking this up at that livestream show last year. I love drawing Spidey. This piece was a blast to do. My favorite little bit is the water splashing onto Peter's back from above. I'm fond of tiny fun details like that.
