Have been searching quite awhile also for a classic Ayers page. Yes he has done lots of westerns, and who can not forget Sgt.Fury, but its his classic run on Strange Tales that I was looking for , Why ? The Human Torch starred in it.
In this issue and page we get to see a B list Villian make his 1st app. called the PLANTMAN...
Next , we have Johnny Storm AKA The Human Torch do his classic-FLAME ON !!!!!

Awesome early Marvel Silver Age! Torch vs Plantman! They thought Johnny Storm would appeal to the teen crowd just like Spidey!
