Description

When I visited a local comic shop this past summer and picked up the first issue of Kaya, I instantly felt like I was reading something special. After subscribing to the book, I set out to research more about the book's creators.

Turns out, this is a wonderful creator owned series to which Wes Craig is both the storyteller and artist. Craig instantly thrusts Kaya along with her younger brother Jin into to a vibrant and imaginative world of adventure, and it's impossible for the reader to resist getting sucked in.

You can tell Craig has been meticulously working on this treasure of a series for some time as the art this Cover is dated 2019 when it was first crafted, while the series itself was officially released in Oct, 2022.

I truly hope we get to see 100+ issues of this series!

This piece is Kaya # 1 Main Cover / Cover A, and measures 11" x 17". Pen and Ink on Bristol.

Thank you for the kind words Reba! I must have visited your art gallery at least ten times over the past several weeks looking at your Kaya Miller Homage Variant Cover, which is an absolutely spectacular piece. Craig hit it out of the park when he kicked off this series.

Hey Jason,

You know it's funny because I normally read a lot of mature aged comic books, esepcially from Image Comics, but when I picked this book up, I could feel some parallels to Jeff Smith's creator owned Bone in that it was a series that would be enticing for a variety of ages.
