Description

First international purchase for me, in 1999. That was a big step, and not a cheap one considering my salary then. It came from a Belgium bookstore specialized in comic books (Jaune), and I had to send a cashier's check by mail! It was listed without a visual, so I did not know beforehand both half panels were glued to a black cardboard, with a copy of the final printed color page on the other part of the board... I decided to leave it like that, since I'm not a big fan of framing anyway. Gotta love that action with the Mustang!

Looks like Maltaite is heavily influenced by the Steve McQueen car chase in Bullitt with the San Francisco hills setting.  Fast paced panels bring high adrenaline and high acceleration!

Fun page! Especially love the "chubby" car stylings.
