DescriptionSure, Aquaman isn't everyone's favorite DC hero, but you can't argue that Jim Aparo was one of the best ever to render the King of Atlantis. On this page, our hero submerges himself into the microscopic world of Mera's ring (DC doing DC stuff!) to save a mysterious girl from the enslavement of the super-intellectuals! Love the angular layout choice by Aparo to represent the microscopic world, with plenty of knock-outs and zipatone aplenty! Some nice Aparo JLA cameos to boot. Social/Sharing |

Love the construction of this page. Terrific storytelling and masterful work by one of DC's greatest ever.

The JLA panel is worth the price of the page alone. The panel designs for the 3 to panels is a visual treat. Aparo was so imaginative with this page. Congrats!

One of the best prime periods of Aparo's career! It has so psychedelic top panels for the unknown depths of the ocean and some killer JLA fun including Batman and some tentacles! Brave to put the bold reverse silhouette right in the middle of the page. Really nice when he does the lean characters to show how then stretch and bend!

Right on Marcus. I don't recall many pages where Aparo experimented with layout and design more than this example. As noted, hIs "lean" version of Aquaman was always a personal fave.
