I was surprised when I learned that Manix had never before been asked to do a Transformers commission. So I leaped at the opportunity to have Manix do his take on the classic confrontation of Optimus Prime and Megatron in Autobot City from Transformers: The Movie.

This is the Manix take on "One Shall Stand. One Shall Fall." It's not just a home run... It's a grand slam! The colour and intensity that Manix brought to this page is truly amazing. The colour palette is amazing. Optimus is heavily damaged, one arm hanging loosely, bits and pieces hanging from the other... a broken tail pipe. Megatron's arm is laying on the ground in front of him, his cannon is about to fire, and you can feel the intense rage and hatred he has for Optimus in his eye and face.

I've included two additional scans so that you can see some close ups of the details.

Oh yearh, the big 2 goin' at it! Channels the '80s movied but in the unique Manix style! Love the colors. Congrats!

Another excellent Manix commission! Love seeing his version of the Transformers! He always brings something new to the characters he's drawing. Love this commission! I gotta get me some Manix art!
