Description

Peralta was never on my list.

That was until I saw this piece posted before the OAX auction and I knew that I had to make a grab at it (I even called dibs). The way Magneto is swatting down an army of Sentinels as an afterthought with a flick of his finger is rendered beautifully. Magento's colors are completely saturated as the robots behind are more muted really personifies the power within the mutant. All around cover quality work.

Now the other part.

There is no better souvenir to a such wonderful weekend at OAX and I thought I would need to post this while everyone is still bathing in the afterglow. This artwork is wrapped up in a loss, new friends, old friends, a few cigarettes, an outdoor realization, some vodka, a wonderfully horrible bar and a last minute decision before getting to the airport.

you literally got the 2 coolest things in X-Men, Magneto and the Sentinels...S-tier. sorry but everyone else is A-tier and below. not the only happy accident that occured either at the auction or in the post-auction follow up dealmaking that would inevitably take place...but one of the better ones by far! love this piece, congrats to your son!

Classic bad guy colors with Sentinels and Magneto sharing in the red and purples of this piece! Peralta creates a distance and depth by adding the powder blue layer while Magneto is the visual focus with the solid colors.

I love scenes of Sentinels getting wrecked, but the smile on your son's face is the best part of this acquisition!

Love a good Magneto vs Sentinals piece. This is one of the better color ones I've seen recently, so bad ass the way Magneto pops off the page. And the dismissive wave of a hand with which he dispenses them, so in character. Congrats!

There was only one piece I wanted from the auction and THIS was it. You're lucky you have that cute pic of your son holding it, because what monster would covet a piece of art that a child loves so much? Still, I have been wracking my brains for a commission idea from German for months. His work is so amazing and you got the winner from OAX 2025. I'm just glad I live in Chicago and can come visit it when I'm lonely.
