Description

Original art on Bristol board with paste ups, and a separate acetate overlay which adds the caption "Objects In Mirror Are Closer Than They Appear" to the bottom part of the driver's side view mirror. Art by John Hebert (penciler) and Bill Anderson (inker) and measures 17"x 11". Signed at bottom margin by John Hebert.

This is from a 1993 giveaway comic from Kay-Bee toys. Ghost Rider breaks up a holdup by thugs at a funeral. In the ensuing confrontation, the getaway driver almost drives off a bridge. Ghost Rider saves her from falling and his hellfire causes her devastating burns, and she ends up at a burn unit. Danny Ketch after transforming back from being Ghost Rider feels bad for what happens to her and visits her at the hospital. The doctors determine that her burns happened because of her latent mutant power reacting to Ghost Rider's hellfire. The doctors in the process of helping her have outfitted her with a cybernetic suit, and all she wants is vengeance for becoming disfigured and losing her beauty...

Hebert was very cool in the 90's doing covers for X-Men Adventures. This is a super clean specialty cover with the intense 90's detailing. That finger point by Ghost Rider is like seeing a cop telling you to pull over.
