Description

Amazing page by Russ Heath. I love the setting, the rain, the inking, the overall moodiness of this page. As my collection matures I'm branching out into pages of books I didn't necessarily read growing up. The skill Russ Heath displayed on his military art is amazing and I would say despite the accolades is still under appreciated. Enjoy.

Stunning page with the transition from heavy blacks to the bright bridge set the scne from stealth to attack. The Sgt. Rock headshot is as agood if not better than Kubert.

Super dramatic with the rain in the darkness! You can feel shivers from Rock's glowing steely stare from the shadowed face.

Impressive.

Heath was a master of this genre, but an incredibly accomplished artist overall. Congrats on having this fine example in your collection!
