Description

This is page 7 from the Batgirl story in issue #505 of Detective Comics, published in 1981. The art is by Jose Delbo and Joe Giella and it features both Barbara Gordon and Batgirl. I like the idea of Batgirl being in disguise to lure the villain out of hiding. Beautiful close-up image of Batgirl in the last panel. Signed by Giella (after the photo was made.)

Delbo and Giella present the office fashions of the time giving it a modern feel after years of catching up with the times. Barbara looks a lot more modern than the bookish librarian from the 60's and 70's.
