Description

Super rare concept study for the matte painting of the Arrival at the Death Star, from �Star Wars - The Return of the Jedi�, done in 1982 by Frank Ordaz. The concept study has two parts, to the lower right is a (partially painted) production photo of the shuttle & Stormtroopers etc., whereas the rest is painted on artboard. That Tie-fighter looks like it might have been added at a later stage. Please have a look at the additional images with a picture of Frank Ordaz painting the final matte painting�
