Description

Have been a great fan of Fables for a long time and especially enamored with Buckingham's artwork for the series. He may not have been the initial artist on the title, but I always associate his depiction of the characters as the default.

This piece was used for a new printing of the first trade paperback collection and perfectly captures the main characters, all in Buckingham's vibrant watercolors. With the Jean covers for the series being on a completely different level, this wrap-around piece really felt like an amazing color piece to add to the Fables collection.

Composition is great to split the cover for front and back throught the natural vertical column of the castle tower.

Wow! Corner to corner, just an outstanding piece from the composition to the pure illustration to the colors...SUBLIME. I'm sure that it's even that much better in person, too. Big congrats!

Bucky didn't do a lot of Fables covers, but when he did, the watercolors on them were phenomenal. And this is easily the best of the bunch with the composition and how he was able to fit in so many characters/elements from the series. Huge congrats!
