DescriptionBecause one man's white trash, is another man's gold?!Never thought I would pick up a Flagg cover, but here it is. Just a compelling composition and nice action. By the time I got into comics in the mid 80s, American Flagg was already well known and loved. As far as the comics, I only ever had the #1, but did buy several of the collected editions. I was also a big fan of Chaykin's Black Hawk. If you got some art from that series and are looking to sell, please reach out! Thanks again to JS without whom this piece would have ended up elsewhere. Congrats Duke! Howard seemed to really, REALLY enjoy working on this cover, and it makes me want to read the book. Everybody wins!

There have been a few really nice Chaykin Flagg pieces that have come up for sale recently that I really thought about pulling the trigger on, but for one reason or another, just didn't. Seeing this beauty really makes me want to kick myself for not grabbing one of them. Especially since Chaykin is one of the gaping holes in my collection.

You're right. If I tied you up and slapped you to the ground, you wouldn't sell this to me. But that's only because I'd be walking away with it for free! A fantastic cover from Chaykin's peak period. So good!

A great Chaykin cover with a stylistic nod to his later Black Kiss stuff (which I'm sure you actually prefer to AF ;)

Wow, just a singular piece from one of the most underrated series of all time. In terms of influence, I would put the first (pun intended) 12 issues of Flagg up against just about any other series. Congratulations!!!!
