Description

As an assistant to Wally Wood, Ralph Reese inked a number of Wood�s projects in the 1960�s and 1970�s and this particular page brilliantly shows forth Reese�s own wonderful creativity and workmanship as well as Wallace Wood�s unmistakable influence! The page was done for the classic story �Curse Of The Yeti� which was written by legendary comics and sci-fi writer OTTO BINDER. It is also important to note that the great BERNIE WRIGHTSON did his first-ever professional magazine cover work for what would become the 3rd and final issue of Web Of Horror that depicted a larger-than-life Giant Yeti, which was designed to draw in potential readers who would want to purchase the magazine and read the intriguing story within! On page 5, the Yeti appears in 5 of the 6 panels and the actual meaning of the �Curse Of The Yeti� is revealed on an ancient stone! This historic ink wash page was created on a large illustration board measuring 15� x 20� and shows some aging to the board, although the artwork itself still presents beautifully and is quite spectacular to behold! There are some spots of whiteout that do not detract from the overall appearance of the artwork. Feel free to contact me if you would like to make a purchase.
