Description

As you can probably tell by my gallery, I'm not a DC guy. That being said, what's not to love about Sean Murphy's art. He was at #OAX2024 and I flipped through his art and just couldn't find anything that to get super excited about. Then I walked by and saw him working on......a Star Wars sketch. I asked his rep (thanks Geoff!) about it and he said there would be a silent auction. I happened to go by again around 3:45 and saw it was up and put in a bid and was notified at 4pm that I won!

It's Mando carrying Grogu (aka Baby Yoda) on what looks like a desert planet (only one sun, probably not Tatooine) with a cool landscape, colors and a cool of shot of Mando's N-1 starfighter coming down the right side.

This makes me wonder:
o What would a SGM SW book look like? (and can I get all that art?!)
o What if he did a cool SW ship? AT-AT by SGM?
o What would his treatment of vader look like?

At this point, we can only dream fellow OA friends, but this is a little glimpse into those possible futures...

Very cool pickup (and at a bit of a steal). I was waiting to see his Sunday sketch, but he left early, so this was his only auction piece of the show. Congrats!
