DescriptionI am so happy to add this amazing page to my collection. I really enjoyed this series and remember fondly staring at this amazing page with Batman delivering a solid knock-out punch to Joker with Robin's assistance. Having many of Batman's best and some lesser known villians in the background is simply icing on the cake. This page easily stands alone from the book and could be a poster, shirt, or cover. I see a lot of Byrne in this piece as well and I think he and Aparo made great team. Thanks to Paul for parting with it.Social/Sharing |

That is one amazing piece. Aparo AND Byrne together????? Love all the floating images in the background. But of course the main image is the star of the show. Congrats on an absolutely killer piece of art.

A classic mini-series, though primarily known by most fans as Byrne's first foray into the DC Universe, long before he made the big move to revamp Superman. A great and memorable splash!

A great snapshot of the Batman mythos up to that point in the 80's. Byrne really brought out a refined look to Aparo's 70's grit to make it register for the golden age fans as well.

Superb splash. What's the most fun for me is looking at each figure and determining which, from Aparo or Byrne's styles, is more showing through.

I remember this book and page distinctly! Man, so cool seeing the OA. The central figures are great but also love that contrast of poring over the rest of the cast without rendering...a rea who's who! Big congrats!

One caveat: Byrne did the pencils, Aparo inked it. Byrne left after this issue because the scheduling interfered with his Marvel work. Aparo all the work for the last two issues...

Beautiful Byrne Batman splash! And from his 1st work for DC no less! Aparo's inks perfectly complement Byrne's pencils and the multitude of villains is the icing on the cake. Congrats on a grail level Byrne page!

What an amazing page in a series I so loved! You gotta give the Joker props, though, for just skinny dude, he could take a serious punch and give as good as he got! Could have had something to do with the psychosis overriding the pain...

Wow, what more do you need in a Byrne Batman piece?
