Description11 x 17 (pencil and ink)A piece I did for Golden Apple Comics inspired by the true life episode where the Golden Apple Spider-Man statute stopped a criminal . . . and saved Uncle Ben-- A drugged up criminal was running from police, when he crashed into the Golden Apple Spider-Man outside the shop. As a result, the criminal was apprehended by the police, while Golden Apple Spider-Man's arm was broken off. Golden Apple's owner Ryan Liebowitz, nursed Spider-Man back to health, repairing his arm. The piece is entitled "What If Uncle Ben Lived?" because the whole episode spawned the idea that Uncle Ben was saved in the Golden Apple Spider-Man timeline (ours) - when Golden Apple Spider-Man intervened. Subsequently and more recently, the concept that Uncle Ben lives has been advanced / used in Ultimate Spider-Man 1 -- an incredibly drawn and written book. This is owned by Ryan. Social/Sharing |
