DescriptionWhen I'm getting a comish, I often send the artist references. Usually, they are made up of pieces I love, and more often than not, pieces I don't think will ever grace my collection. I gave Nathan Birr this piece as part of a reference package when asking him to make the Agony you may have noticed in my collection. And then my buddy pointed out the reference became available. Just such a rare occurrence to get a shot at an "artist grail". Well, I got it. Feast your eyes on my all-time favorite J. Scott Campbell piece.Pencil & Ink 2014 Social/Sharing |

Congrats on being able to bring home such a fantastic piece! A lot of Campbell pieces place all of the emphasis on the figure itself, but here Medusa's hair brings the whole page alive with movement and detail!

Just gorgeous! The swirling hair draws your eyes to the centeral figure, whose... figure..., is quite a feast for the eyes. Congrats on this amazing JSC piece!

"Artist grail" checked - congrats! Always loved this one from JSC's more recent batch of covers...great figure cooly framed by her hair! Medusa...great hair day! And bad for her adversaries :) Congrats!

Congrats on getting your "artist grail"! Medusa is a fun character because of all her hair, and Campbell really went to town on this.
