Description

I remember buying this comic in my local comic store and being blown away by this new artist in town. His early style was similar to most of the comic artists during that period, but somehow it had also something very refreshing and sort of uniqueness to it compared to other new comic artists. Joe Madureira quickly became one of my most favorite X-Men artist of all time.

What is a better example of his art than a page from his debut issue on UXM that remembers me how I've been mesmerized for the first time by his dynamic, cartoony and manga influenced style. A page featuring two of my favorite core X-Men (Gambit and Storm) and including these detailed drawings of the Phalanx from a story leading up to the crossover "Phalanx Covenant", in which my favorite team Generation X made their debut!

This page contains so much for me and is a definitely a keeper in my personal collection!

High energy X-Men artwork by Joe Mad from the Phalanx storyline from his debut on the flagship title cementing him as a top talent of Marvel. Storm and Gambit get featured, but it is all that techno details that make this page explode in 90's excitement.
