Description“Knight in the City”September 2024 Since I knew the potential existence of this title splash, it took me a lot of hours of sleeping! It should be mine… Fortunatelly I have the lucky of knowing Jorge Fornés and his representatives (https://blackdiamondbcn.com/) … The hunting had started!! Jorge, apart from a formidable artist, is a very nice and kind guy. He takes a lot of care about his fans and collectors. Despite he is using digital devices he is still drawing and inking in, let me say, traditional way. I think he does it because he loves the way and because he is also a collector and a comic fan enthusiast. He wants to let us the oppotunity of having his art. It is not easy to get his OA because it is scarce. IMHO Jorge will become one of the most sought after artists in the coming years. He works with the most relevant writers. Their ideas and projects are AWESOME. This title splash belongs to an issue that is released TODAY!!! Everything in the page is hand drawn. It is simply OUTSTANDING. To me, Jorge is one of the artists who better portrait the darkness and cityscapes. I could never imagine a better Moon Knight scene at night. “I’ve got to see this hunt to the end.” MOON KNIGHT Social/Sharing |

I thought it was a cover and it's a splash. And it's awesome, the most beautiful thing I've ever seen from Moon Knight.

A brillaint title page for Moon Knight! Fornes incorporates the title type in the manner of Will Eisner's Spirit. It is used to make the city its own character and show how much bigger and maze like it is for heroes and villains.

You always hit the spot! Caped crusaders have to carry and suffer the weight of the responsability of protecting their cities. This weight usually breaks their shoulders.

Me encanta. Un piezón como la copa de un pino. Una auténtica maravilla del noveno arte. Una composición de página soberbia. Mi más sincera enhorabuena.

Wonderful cover, modern but with a classic aftertaste, a mix between the darkness of Bill Sienkiewicz and the three-dimensional compositions of Ed Hannigan's covers in which he integrated the letters as part of the urban landscape. A real gem and a work worthy of your increasingly unattainable collection. My most sincere congratulations, namesake.

Perfect mix of lettering and character in this title splash! The former IS the art, even more so than MK! Also gotta love how MK's cape is laying in that crescent shape - so effective. Jorge showing out big time here on his illustration AND design chops! Congrats, Toni!

Wow! Love this title page by Jorge Fornés for Phases of the Moon Knight. Gorgeously designed title in multiple typefaces as if built from parts of different signs found around a city. The very urban-looking title reads "Knight Time in the CIty" and it towers over a small figure of Moon Knight, posed in a spotlight at the bottom of the page. Stunning work by Jose that serves as a powerful message that Moon Knight has come to town. Fantastic pick-up, congrats!

This reminds me of Steranko's title splash to X-Men #51. And as Marcus mentioned, there are strands of Eisner's Spirit design as well. All in all, a wonderfully impressive splash page. Many congrats, Toni!

You are totally true. The fact that Jorge is a big comic fan and consumer explains these kind of influences or tributes. Thanks so much for your words.
