DescriptionSuperman and the Legion of Super-Heroes: "In Final Battle"March 1982 My dad is 78. He is a taxi driver. He is still working. He is a very, very strict self-made man. He has very strong beliefs and values. During my life he has told me tons of "NO!" like...: "Dad I wanna a Nike shoes... NO!" "Dad I wanna a Levi's trousers... NO!" "Dad I wanna go to a McDonald's ... NO!" BUT!!!!!! HE NEVER TOLD ME "NO!" WHEN I WAS ASKING FOR A BOOK OR A COMIC BOOK OR FOR GOING TO THE CINEMA. I saw STARWARS (1977) at the age of 5. Superman I (1978) at the age of 6 and Moonraker (1979) at the age of 7! I had my first TINTIN (1977) at the age of 5, my first Batman (1979) at 7 and my first Superman and Hulk (1981) at 9. I still have them. Now, at the age of 51 turning to 52, I'm not the Superman fan that I used to be. But I still have this page! One of the first that I bought long, long time ago. Team-ups between Superman and the Legion of Super-Heroes are rare. In this issue they’re up against Mongul, who is on his second appearance after his initial storyline by the superb Jim Starlin. This is my tribute to my DAD! He has been working very hard to let me enjoy this amazing hobby! "My dad was Superman to me, and in my mind, he always will be." SUPERMAN Social/Sharing |

Thank you very much Michael. We are a generation that, unfortunatelly, is fading!

I think the tribute you have made to your father is very nice. I find it amazing that you remember perfectly well those memories of more than 45 years ago, but not that you had dinner yesterday.
CONGRATULATIONS

Swan and Hunt's cosmic themed art is warm and familar as the Superman look we got from decades before this. It makes us pull back and ponder the mysteries of the universe and our place in the world. It'll always come back to familial bonds that enabled us the opportunity achieve what they couldn't themselves through their sacrifices. The sentiment behind this page makes it so much more special than just what we see from these two, but those who didn't read your description would agree it's pretty spectacular even on its own.

Great page, and a beautiful tribute to your Dad. Parents have to say NO so much, it's nice when they choose the right times to say YES.

Thanks my friend!!! Most of the times to say YES or NO it's apparently irrelevant, BUT NOT.

Pure nostalgia. There is nothing nicer in this world of collecting than getting a page that marked your childhood.

Your dad is clearly awesome. Supporting your kids and their hobbies is the best thing you can do for them. And great page! Love the LOSH team-ups with Supes, and this is a great space battle page from Swan, as he does. Cosmic!
