Description

This is the second in a series of 12 paintings for a calendar of Film Noirish femme fatales, and a limited edition print from Graphic Collectibles that will be available in San Diego '07. It's painted in a slightly looser style to approximate a 1960's paperback cover. Interestingly, I sent these two images over to Hard Case Crime, and was informed that the paintings are too contemporary looking and don't have the right "feel" for their books. Oh, well. About 2 inches got cropped off the top during scanning. 12"x19"

Everytime I see the thumbnail for this I think, wow look at that McGuinness. Then I click and see (again) that it's not, but just as good. One of my favorites.

When I saw the thumbnail I thought it WAS a Hard Case Crime cover. Well, it's their loss. Tremendous piece!

The fine folks at Hard Case Crime are mistaken. This would have bee a perfect cover for that line.
