DescriptionBINDY IRWIN GROWS UP!!! New cover painting for Devil's Due. I apologize for the slightly fuzzy digital pic. I'll have better images when I have a transparency shot in a couple of days. I wanted to do an action shot to contrast with the first cover, which is very sedate and quiet. 18.5"x28"Social/Sharing |

Awesome piece. Reminds me of a Buscema cover for Ka zar that was always one of my favorites. This is actually better!

Thanks, guys!! Russ, I didn't make the connection to that Ka-Zar cover until half way through the piece. I can understand the subliminal influence, though, as I lost that Buscema piece to Shawn Fritschy on Ebay a couple of years ago! #$&&%$ you, Shawn!! :-)

Actually, Guido, the black jaguar works compositionally as a counterbalance to the Sheena figure. If you remove it, the painting becomes very heavy on the upper right side, leaving a somewhat vacant area on the bottom left.

Beautiful piece! As an artist I really appreciate the subtle way in which you did the background. It gives great depth to the painting!
