Description

This one caught me by surprise. Big time. I've been an admirer of Jarret's work for a while now (I highly suggest checking out some of his other commissions to get an idea why) but, when I requested a commission at the Calgary Expo, I wasn't expecting something so mind-blowing - literally!

Jarret has an uncanny ability to make static images look like they're glowing. I asked him how he achieved that effect. He shared some thoughts on his technique. Even knowing the how, I still can't understand why the effect works and is so dramatic. He also brings a wholly unique style and sensibility to his art.

If you haven't already checked out Jarret's new creator owned graphic novel, Shout Kill Revel, I can't recommend it highly enough. The story and the art are wonderful distinct and show a level of craft you don't often see from creators on their first collected work.
